Websites and booking platforms, and nothing else

Under2 Company Limited builds websites and booking platforms for travel businesses, from Hanoi. That is the whole business. There is no tour for sale on this site and no other line of work behind it.

The short version

Under2 Company Limited was registered in Hanoi in December 2016 — business registration 0107665342, issued on 14/12/2016. It builds booking platforms, websites, payment and channel integrations for travel businesses, and it has done that one kind of work for close to ten years.

The core team is about ten people, working with outside development partners on individual projects, and the booking platform izBooking currently runs more than a thousand merchant sites.

If you read one paragraph

Under2 makes two things: websites and platforms. Everything on this site is one or the other, or the work of connecting them to the systems a travel business already pays for.

What the company actually sells

The work splits in two. Products that already exist and can be running next week sit under products: izBooking for booking, availability and payment under the customer's own brand, and TourAuct for capacity that would otherwise go unsold. Custom builds shaped around one business's process sit under services: travel websites, mobile apps, booking integration, payment gateways, data and API work.

Most companies need one of the two, believe they need the other, and are best served by being told which. That conversation is free and happens before any quotation.

izBooking is the product most travel businesses need first, and the one this company has rebuilt most often.

Why travel booking is its own kind of software

A booking system looks like a calendar with a payment button. The part that matters is what happens between the two, and it fails in the same few ways at almost every travel business that runs on spreadsheets and email.

Two people sell the same seat on the same boat for the same Saturday, because availability lives in a spreadsheet and the confirmation is written by hand. A booking widget does not know about agent rates. A channel manager pushes a price that was already changed. A payment page loses a third of the people who reach it because it asks a customer in Sydney for a local address.

Each of those is a normal Tuesday rather than a rare edge case, and each is a design decision rather than a bug to fix later. Software that treats them as the centre of the problem behaves differently from software that treats them as an exception.

An illustrated timeline with milestone cards placed along a single line

What close to ten years of building for travel has taught us

What a booking looks like when it goes wrong

A fifteen-minute hold that expires while an agent is on the phone. A cancellation that arrives after the supplier has been paid. A card authorisation that succeeds on the bank side and fails on ours. These are handled in the design rather than discovered by your staff in month two.

What an agent actually asks for

Net rates, a quote they can forward without editing, and an answer today. A consumer checkout is irrelevant to a B2B partner, and putting one in front of them is a common and expensive mistake.

Which promises cost money

Free date changes, instant confirmation on a product that needs supplier clearance, a refund policy written by marketing. Software will implement any of these, and the operations team then pays for them every week.

What it costs to change systems mid-season

Hence our migration rule: a new platform passes an acceptance gate before a single live site moves onto it, and never runs in parallel with the old one on the same inventory.

How the company is put together today

About ten people form the core in Hanoi — analysis, development, integration, content and operations. Around that core we work with outside development partners, brought in per project rather than kept on a bench; the team page explains what that shape costs us.

The commercial terms behind our advice — who pays us, and who does not — are on the partners page. The kinds of system we have built are on the work page.

What we are not good at

Saying this in public costs us a few enquiries and saves everyone the ones that were going to end badly.

  • Brand and design-led work. We build sites that sell, not identity systems. If the brief is a rebrand with a website attached, a design studio should lead it and we should be the second call.
  • Round-the-clock coverage. The team works from Hanoi in GMT+7. We answer outside those hours when something is broken, but we will not pretend to a follow-the-sun rota that does not exist.
  • Large enterprise procurement. If your process requires a vendor with an ISO certificate and a numeric uptime guarantee on paper, we will fail that screening, and it is better to know it in week one.
  • Being the fastest quote in the room. We ask questions before pricing, and a supplier who quotes from a two-line brief is always quicker and usually more expensive by the end.
  • Rescuing a project where nobody internally owns the decision. We have tried. Software freezes an unresolved argument, it does not settle one.

What Under2 does not do

  • We do not build outside travel.
  • We do not take design-only projects with nothing operational behind the screen.
  • We do not sell tours, on this site or anywhere else.
  • We do not promise a live payment integration in under two weeks, because bank and gateway approval is not something a developer can accelerate.

There is no legal, accounting or marketing arm here either. Earlier versions of this company offered some of that; it is gone, and we refer that work out.

Common questions

What travel operators ask us most

Does Under2 sell tours?

No. Under2 builds websites and booking platforms for travel businesses. There is no tour for sale on this site, and none sold anywhere else under our name.

That matters to you for a practical reason. A travel business will not put its inventory on a platform run by a competitor, and it should not have to.

How big is the team, really?

About ten people in the core team, plus outside development partners engaged per project. We publish that number rather than a vague one because the honest version tells you what kind of supplier we are.

It means a focused team on a defined scope, and it means we are the wrong supplier for a programme that needs thirty developers next quarter.

Is there independent evidence about your software?

No certificate or audit that we could put on this page. No independent body has audited our engineering, our security practice or our uptime, and the security page says so in more detail.

What we can show is how the software behaves: in a walk-through of a real booking flow, including cancellations, holds and refunds.
